To be concrete, the grand event raised the curtain with the solemn song of the Communist Youth League, which included five items as follows: singing the national anthem, the oath of league members, speeches by the new league member representatives and speeches by school leaders. Later on, after all the teachers and students sang the national anthem, all the new league members took a solemn oath under the leadership of Ke Zhiyuan from Class 1, Grade 12. Additionally, Xiang Zhihao from Class 4, Grade 8 made a speech on behalf of the new league members. Finally, on behalf of the General Branch Committee of Anqing Foreign Language School, Secretary Lu Dan of the General Party Branch extended warm congratulations to all the new students who joined the Communist Youth League, asking the league members to set an example for the whole school in their study and life in that they should not only ‘join the Youth League’ in form, but also in action and thought.
